[PHOENIX] New Lenox, IL.

[I-ROCK] GOOD DEAL. HOW DID YOU GET INTO MUSIC?
[PHOENIX] Driving around town with my dad. He'd always have tons of cassettes in the dash, mostly stuff like Chicago, The Beatles, and The Doobie Brothers. Chicago were actually my first concert, in about second grade.

[I-ROCK] GOT ANY INK?
[PHOENIX] Yup! One on my wrist and one on my back. Ask nice and I'll show you.

[I-ROCK] WHAT'S THE COOLEST PLACE YOU'VE EVER BEEN?
[PHOENIX] I spent a semester studying radio in South Korea, it was badass. I'm definitely going back after I graduate. It's a tie between there, and sweet home Chicago.

[I-ROCK]WHERE DO YOU HANG WHEN YOU'RE NOT HERE?
[PHOENIX] I finally turned 21 in February, so I've definitely been hanging around Maggie Miley's a lot. I'm finishing up my senior year at ISU, so I'm always at the student radio station there, avoiding my homework.

[I-ROCK]IS BEING A DJ YOUR ONLY JOB?
[PHOENIX] I moonlight as a porn shop clerk in Bloomington. It's awesome and terrifying.
